Project Notes
This script will check if the fail2ban server is running. If it is up it will give some performance data that can be parsed by PNP for example. The script is written in bash and should run with any Nagios version. Use NRPE to call it on remote machines. Be sure to add nagios to the sudoers file: nagios ALL=NOPASSWD: /usr/bin/fail2ban-client Adjust the paths accordingly inside the script.
