Create a check for stale NFS handles on Linux. Similar projects exist, but they don't appear to work (for me) when there is a stale handle. This problem is overcome by using two scripts - a bash script that tries to work on the NFS mount and a perl script that checks whether the bash script has stalled (the bash script is killed if it has stalled). I'm hoping that by putting this project out there, others may make improvements and send them back to me. **NOTE: The bash script is now (22-Feb-2007) created within the perl script.** This change was made after noting that some people were only downloading 1 of the scripts available in the initial version.
