The script should work with any version of vmware esx/esxi (tested on esx 3.5/4.0/4.1).
on early version you have to create an alias for vim-cmd
#cd /usr/bin
#ln -s ./vmware-vim-cmd vim-cmd
on your nagios server execute:
#sudo nagios
#ssh-keygen
#ssh-copy-id -i .ssh/id_rsa.pub root@youresxhost
for each of your esx hosts
