Project Notes
**Preconditions**: Java>= 1.4 The plugin can be used in two different ways: If only host and port are given the plugin will only attempt to connect to the rmi-server. This will give wrong nagios-answers if rmi-registry and rmi-service are started separately. define command{ command_name check_rmiserver command_line /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_rmi $HOSTADDRESS$ $ARG1$ } If rmi-registry and rmi-servers are started separately a third parameter //"lookup-name"// must be given and the stub-classes must be provided in the plugin's directory. If used with stub-classes the plugin will attempt to execute a method remotely. define command{ command_name check_rmiserver command_line /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_rmi $HOSTADDRESS$ $ARG1$ $ARG2$ } **Usage**: check_rmi and RmiLookupTest.class have to be in the same directory and check_rmi must be called by its full path. **Example**: /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_rmi localhost 6345 foolookupname
