When working with large nagios installs where services are checked a few times a minute, its easy to run into the NCSA bottleneck where service check result take longer to send than they take to produce, thus turning your nagios install into a crawling production line. This NCSA replacement is basic yet very fast at transporting service check results. It also has the nice feature of reporting service checks on itself so you can be sure the setup is functioning correctly. Self reporting includes the number of checks processed per second. Very basic setup that just works.
