Genoa lets you set up a directory tree of notification templates that are completed by substituting Nagios environment variables (macros) into the templates. The appropriate template is chosen based on the type of notification, host or service, etc. Makes it easy to customize your notifications on a per-host or per-service basis. Set your notification command_line in your Nagios config to "genoa -s" (to send by mail) or "genoa -p -t" to send a pager message - no more big ugly printf's piped into mail!
