Checks if the host's keepalived process is in MASTER or BACKUP state. You have to set in your vrrp_instance config a line similar to that: notify /etc/keepalived/notify.sh Here is the content of /etc/keepalived/notify.sh #!/bin/bash echo $1 $2 is in $3 state > /var/run/keepalive.state
