I use to execute this check only once per day in the morning. define service{ use generic-service host_name mysqlserver servicegroups SqlAgentJobs service_description Check SQL Agent Jobs on Failure check_command check_sqlagent_jobs check_period goodtime contact_groups sqlmail notifications_enabled 1 notification_interval 1440 notification_period goodtime notification_options c,u } define command{ command_name check_sqlagent_jobs command_line $USER1$/./check_nrpe -H $HOSTADDRESS$ -n -p 5666 -t 60 -c check_sql_jobs } you have to define in timeperiods.cfg the interval goodtime or use your own interval.
