This script checks the health of DataDirect's S2A-based storage products using SNMP. You will need to enable SNMP on your storage controllers and configure the community strings appropriately. There doesn't seem to be a way to detect the number of tiers and channels in a system, so you will need to provide this on the command line to the script using the --tiers and --channels options. The health of some items (power supplies in the drive tray enclosures) cannot be checked over SNMP apparently.
