One of the core functions in a availability monitoring system is the ability to send out status alerts and notifications. Nagios only comes with a a set of 2 default notifications through e-mails: notify-host-by-email and notify-service-by-email. These notifications provide a minimalistic, barebone alert function. However, notification requirements in large companies are diverse and complex: * Notifications should support the use of the (cc:) field. * Notifications should include Nagios comments and author information, if given * Notifications should support different languages, based on the contact * Notifications should provide URL's back to Nagios, color-highlighting and the integration of logos Two sets of scripts have been developed to implement these requirements: nagios_send_host_mail.pl nagios_send_service_mail.pl pnp4n_send_host_mail.pl pnp4n_send_service_mail.pl The updated versions of these scripts are able to include performance graph images from the two popular packages PNP4nagios and Nagiosgraph, further enhancing the value of notifications. Good plugin, working on integrating it into our monitoring infrastructure for email and text alerts.

Also, does anyone know how to contact the author?

I've added the ability to specify a From: address and the ability to read a logo image from a base64 encoded file, both with command line options, but I can't find a contact address..

Spanish support for the notifications script

Found these scripts very helpful and had a time to try to add some spanish support, just couldn't find a way or contact where to upload or send it.
