Project Notes
Simple extension to a POP3 checker: a Perl plugin which logins into an account with accounts details given as parameters. Useage: check_pop3_login Returns 0, "OK: successfully logged in." with correct log in. Returns 1, "Critical: unable to log on" with failed attempt. Returns 3, "Unknown: " with a simple usage message on incorrect usage. Uses the Net::POP3 object, so should be available on all Perl installs. Created to notify of a problem with qpopper working in a quota-only environment - qpopper requires double the quota of the current mailbox size to work, failing on login if it cannot duplicate the mailbox. Note: you may need to change the path to your Perl install (default given is /usr/local/bin/perl).
