Nagios plugin (script) to check the status of the dovecot master process as well as the associated IMAP and POP processes. This script has been designed and written on Linux for the lowest common denominator of shells (sh), requiring ps, grep and wc as external programs. The locations of these can easily be changed by editing the variables at the top of the script. The script can be used to query each aspect (dovecot master process, IMAP and POP) separately or all 3 can be checked at the same time. Note though that there is only one set of warning and critical values so if you do run it "all-in-one" then the same warning and critical levels will be used for IMAP and POP, note that in most situations this is not desirable!
