search_msmq.vbs

This is a NSClient++ addon script for Nagios that will search for specific string in a given queue. If the string is found it returns CRITICAL, otherwise it returns OK. Setup : ============================== 1. copy the vbscript to NSClient/script folder 2. edit nsclient.ini and add the follow segment [/settings/external scripts/scripts] search_msmq=cscript.exe //T:30 //NoLogo scriptssearch_msmq.vbs $ARG1$ $ARG2$ 3. create a new command in nagios define command { command_name search_msmq command_line $USER1$/check_nrpe -H $HOSTADDRESS$ -c search_msmq -a $ARG1$ $ARG2$ } 4. create your nagios service define service{ use generic-service host_name TEST_HOST service_description -search msmq check_command search_msmq!MYQUEUE!search_me } don't forget to reload nagios and restart nsclient.
