Project Notes
Provides three separate nagios checks concerning swap usage in one. The script is triggered by an active check (via something like nrpe) and returns results from a Swap level check based on a standard usage % threshold. It tracks a short history (default 6) of usage values. It uses this history to make two additional checks looking for a sudden increase in usage (Swap Spike) and for a gradual upward trend (Swap Slow Rise) (see "--help" for more details). The results of these two checks are delivered to the Nagios server via send_nsca. This allows you to watch for a couple trend situations in an environment where Nagios is not tracking performance information. This has been tested and runs on RHEL5,6 Solaris 10, AIX 5, 6.
