Project Notes
This component makes it possible to use an Active Directory store as a source of user account information for Nagios XI. Rather than checking the username and password given against the built-in PostgreSQL database, they are checked against the AD domain controller specified to log the user in. This component requires development code NEWER than the 1.3G release. You can get this from the xi-latest-devel tarball and run the upgrade script. This is not recommended for production machines yet, so you should test on something disposable and wait for 1.3H for servers that matter. CHANGES: 0.2 ======== - Added Support for TLS (Tim Stahl)

Works

If you do not have access to the domain controllers that you are authenticating against, then SSL may not be an option by default. This works perfectly with SSL off, but who wants a username/password sent cleartext? I updated the code to support TLS with adLDAP 3.3.2. You have to make a change to your openSSL ldap.conf file (TLS_CERTREQ never) which is not really the best way to go about things, but it does work. If you would like the revisions, send a message.

Is it compatible to nagios fusion 2012 Beta

I tried to use it with Nagios Fusion and it did not work.

You will need to set up a local account with any password - but it does then use your AD credentials.

Very easy to configure. Means that users don't need to remember another username and password, they just use their Active Directory account to login to Nagios XI.
