You have to install the 'compat' package and ignore the error Unsatisfied dependencies for dptapps-2.27-6: dptdriver The driver are included in the kernel package. SuSE Linux: yast --install compat rpm -Uhv --nodeps http://download.adaptec.com/raid/dpt/SRVI/software/linux/dptapps-2.27-6.i386.rpm If you use NRPE you have to increase the timeout because the runtime of the dptutil is about 15 seconds on my machines.
